**PURPOSE**
These guidelines help maintain fairness, safety, and creativity while ensuring both teams can comply with the basic requirements for any season’s agreed-upon sport format.

---

**GENERAL PRINCIPLES**

1. **Affordability**: Equipment should be accessible or replicable without excessive cost.
2. **Safety**: All equipment must be reviewed for safe use by all players.
3. **Dual Compliance**: Both teams must be able to reasonably access or replicate the equipment.
4. **No Exclusivity**: No team may use proprietary or unique gear unavailable to others unless it is standardized and agreed upon in the rule negotiations.
5. **Creativity is Encouraged**: Repurposed, handmade, or hybrid gear is welcomed when safe and agreed upon.

---

**EXAMPLES OF EQUIPMENT CATEGORIES**

- Balls, discs, or pucks
- Rackets, paddles, or bats
- Obstacle elements or field props
- Scoring objects or target markers
- Safety gear (helmets, padding, gloves)

---

**REQUIREMENTS BEFORE OFFICIAL MATCH USE**

☐ Gear inspected by both teams’ referees
☐ Demonstrated safety in trial/test environment
☐ Agreement recorded in Rule Negotiation Worksheet
☐ No modifications after approval unless re-approved

---

**SHARING & TRANSPARENCY**

Teams are encouraged to post their approved gear setup to:
https://new-sport.zeropercententertainment.com/equipment-share

This promotes creative sharing and prevents gear arms races or unfair advantages.

---

**REPLACEMENT OR DAMAGE**

If gear is damaged and needs replacement, both teams must be notified immediately. Backup options should be prepared if equipment is central to gameplay.

---

**DISPUTES**

If equipment fairness is disputed, the Official Dispute Form should be filed prior to the match or immediately after.

---

Let equipment fuel creativity—but not conflict.
